Six Sigma Black BeltsBlackbelt training is specific and tailored training on the understanding of the Six Sigma process and the utilization of Six Sigma tools. The student will be trained in the methodology and tools use through real projects with bottom-line impact on the firm's profitability. Those employees who have the motivation to achieve Blackbelt status are a value asset to any organization. Blackbelts are technically-oriented personnel selected to become on-site implementers and completers of projects that no one dares complete due to complexity and unknown root causes (Experts). Six Sigma Blackbelts are trained in the traditional Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) practice which encompasses statistical techniques. Blackbelt are also trained to facilitate, lead and manage projects to sustain significant bottom-line results. In general, the Blackbelt certification includes two parts. First is the learning of Six Sigma skills and tools. Second is the application of these six sigma tools in real work place. The Blackbelt is a professional who can explain and apply Six Sigma philosophies and principles. The Blackbelt will demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics, and assign team member roles and responsibilities. They have a thorough understanding of and can use all aspects of the DMAIC methodology. They have basic knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System) concepts and are general practitioners.
